Our Lodging Recommendations
For your convenience, we've reserved two hotel blocks. The rooms are first come, first served. Booking links are below.
Get to know the area
Villa Antonia sits right in the heart of Texas Hill Country, on the shores of Lake Travis just outside Austin. It's a gorgeous area, but it's spread out, so here's what you need to know before you land.
If you're traveling in, you'll want a rental car
Things here are far from each other. The venue, hotels, restaurants, and downtown Austin are all a drive apart, and rideshares can be unreliable or slow to arrive in this area. We strongly recommend renting a car for the weekend so you're not stuck waiting.
On the Water
Lake Travis is the star of the area, known for its clear water and dramatic hill country views. Jones Brothers Park is a great spot for a relaxed afternoon by the shore, with picnic areas and easy lake access. If you want something a little more magical, Krause Springs is a spring-fed swimming hole surrounded by cypress trees, well worth the short drive.
In Austin
Downtown Austin is about 30 to 40 minutes from the venue and worth the trip if you have extra time. Think live music on Rainey Street, breakfast tacos everywhere you turn, and a walk along Lady Bird Lake. South Congress (SoCo) is great for shopping and people watching, and the Texas State Capitol grounds are free to explore.
About Our Hotel Blocks
We've set up room blocks at the Hilton Garden Inn Cedar Park and the Westin at the Domain, both about a 35 minute drive from the venue. The Domain area also has restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. You're always welcome to make your own arrangements. Airbnb has some beautiful, scenic spots tucked away in the Hill Country not far from the venue, if that's more your style. Just be sure to plan out your transportation in advance if you go that route: Uber is not always readily available in the Hill Country late at night.
ATTIRE
LADIES
Think floor length or tea length. We love deep hues and rich jewel tones. Sequins, jacquard, and velvet are more than welcome for a winter, vintage-inspired evening. Please note white, ivory, and champagne are colors reserved for the bride.
GENTLEMEN
A suit in a dark or jewel-toned shade looks wonderful here. Charcoal, navy, deep green, and burgundy are all great choices. A tie or bow tie adds a nice touch, but isn't required.
