Our Story
Casey and George met in college at the University of South Carolina while working as servers at 1801 Grille. While no one looks good in gingham and denim, their connection was immediate. Since both Casey and George can be a bit competitive, they decided they were going to have a competition to see who could put on the best first date. George? Pulled out all the stops for dinner at Hampton Street Vineyard, an Italian restaurant in the Vista. Casey? Outback. The jury's still out on whose was better.
What started with rolling silverware and drying pizza trays turned into two years spent in Columbia at their favorite dinner spots, Gamecock football games, and trips to Charleston. After graduating from USC in 2018, George stayed in Columbia to wait for Casey to graduate in 2020. In the interim, they rescued their best friend, Eli.
Fast forward six years later, George, Eli, and Casey live in Arlington, VA. While Casey was in her second year of law school, George treated her to a trip to the Omni Grove Homestead in Virginia. After a day of soaking in the hot springs, and convincing Casey he wouldn't be proposing any time soon - George asked Casey to take a walk around the resort. After confirming she was not in fact grouchy about not being proposed to that day, George proposed and here we are!
Next up - making this thing official with all the people we love in our favorite place - Charleston, South Carolina. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
