When to Arrive

We recommend arriving in Rome by Wednesday, April 21st, so you're settled before the welcome party on Wednesday evening. Departing Sunday, April 25th allows you to enjoy the farewell brunch and Roman sightseeing after the wedding festivities.

Flying In

Most international flights arrive at Rome Fiumicino (FCO), about a half hour from the city center. Rome Ciampino (CIA) is a smaller airport served by flights within Europe, about a half hour from the city center and the closest airport to Casale del Gallo.

From the Airport

Taxi: official white taxis wait outside arrivals and charge a fixed fare to the historic center.

Train: The Leonardo Express runs nonstop from Fiumicino to Roma Termini in about 30 minutes.

Private Car: Please reach out to the Clarks if you'd like to arrange for a private car.

Getting Around

Central Rome is best explored on foot. Taxi stands can be found throughout the city, or you can call one via the FreeNow or itTaxi app. Uber is also available in Rome.

LODGING

Where to Stay

We recommend staying near the ceremony, so you can walk to the church and to Ponte Sisto, where transportation departs to and from the reception. The church is in the neighborhood of Regola, with the beautiful Hotel Ponte Sisto located just across the street.

Neighborhoods We Love

An Airbnb in any of the following neighborhoods is a lovely option, and how our own family chooses to stay in Rome!

Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona: The heart of the historic center, steps from the church, with markets, piazzas, and wine bars at every turn.

Trastevere: Just across Ponte Sisto. Ivy-covered lanes, a lively evening scene, and some of the city's best trattorias.

The Jewish Ghetto: Quiet, charming, and central, known for it's unique cuisine.

Spanish Steps: Elegant and polished, near the rehearsal dinner at Hotel de la Ville. About a 25 minute walk or short taxi to the church.

FAQ

What should I wear?

Welcome party: garden party attire. Rehearsal dinner: cocktail attire. Wedding: black tie, with shoulders covered in the church. Comfortable shoes while walking around the cobblestone streets is recommended.

What will the weather be like?

Rome in late April is usually mild and sunny, with daytime highs in the upper 60s and evenings in the 50s. Spring showers are possible, so pack a shawl and an umbrella.

Is transportation provided?

Yes, transportation will be provided between the ceremony and reception, departing from Ponte Sisto. To arrange for other trips out to the Casale, we recommend Uber or booking a private driver. Further details on transportation will be provided closer to the wedding.
