our venue
Originally constructed in 1815, the Fairmount Water Works was historically Philadelphia’s municipal water system—the first of its kind anywhere in the world. It pumped more than 3 million gallons of water annually to the city of Philadelphia until it closed in 1909. It then became a steam engine, then the home of the Philadelphia Aquarium, then a swimming pool, and finally, a tourist attraction and wedding venue. It also happens to be located a few blocks from Nicole and Patrick's home and is situated along their favorite running route.
They are so excited to share this special place with you!
