It was February of 2024 and just like any modern romance; we met through an app. Hinge, to give credit where credit is due. We chatted for two weeks before we ever met and even through texting we had this undeniable connection. Gavin has this natural curiosity that leads to such deep and captivating conversation. You could say I was smitten right away. We agreed on Top Golf as our first date and if you know me, you know I have next to no athletic ability. To say I was nervous would be an understatement; but that’s the thing about Gavin, he has this way to make anyone he is around feel comfortable and safe to be themselves. After a couple of games, we decided we didn’t want the date to end, so we continued the night back at Gavin’s. We had intentions of watching a movie, (as we are both self-proclaimed cinephiles) but the movie never happened. We spent the rest of the night talking about anything and everything there is to talk about. I can speak for the both of us when I say we had/have the chemistry of two souls that have always known each other and were waiting to be connected.

From then on, we were inseparable. If I wasn’t working, or if Gavin wasn’t in class, we were together. When I had the pleasure of meeting Kelan, it really was a pleasure. Kelan is a burst of energy; full of personality and kindness. The connection was immediate — we were a family.

And what does every family need? A dog, a Frank to be exact. If you don’t know, Frank is our Miniature Dauschund that is as difficult as he is sweet. Thank goodness he came around when he did, because it gave us just enough time to survive through the puppy phase before our newest bundle of joy arrived — incoming, Kilmer. Kilmer was born on the 14th of October, 2025 and he is nothing short of perfect.

With every new phase Gavin and I have been through in such a short time, we naturally lean on one another. He is my best friend; my safe space; my home. We are so excited to share our love with all of the other important people in our lives. Thank you for being here and supporting a couple of soulmates.
