WELCOME
We're so excited to welcome our favorite people to the Côte d'Azur for a three day celebration of love, laughter and Mediterranean sunshine. Cannes has played a special role in our story and we can't wait to share its magic with you.
Mark your calendars for May 27-29, 2026 - three days, three unforgettable gatherings, one incredible celebration.
It all began at a wedding on the shores of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Mishka stood at the altar as best man for one of his high school best friends, while Marissa beamed from the crowd, celebrating her own high school best friend as the bride. Fate had placed us in the same place, and what started as a week of group adventures quickly became the beginning of something much bigger.
Toward the end of that week, in a moment that still makes us laugh, Mishka turned to Marissa and declared out of the blue, “Just so you know, I am never coming up to Albany.” Marissa quickly replied, “I don’t remember inviting you.” Neither of us could have guessed that a year and a half later, Mishka would be boarding a flight to Albany—not only to visit, but to help Marissa pack up her life for a new chapter.
At the time that they met, Marissa had long considered moving. Washington, DC was near the top of her list, but she had no job or concrete plans yet. Still, the pieces started falling into place. Our first weekend together was spent in Dewey Beach, just as Marissa came to DC to interview for her job. The rest of the group cancelled at the last minute and they spent a memorable weekend together as Mishka introduced Marissa to one of his favorite towns, a place they still spend many weekends together every summer. Soon after, we “casually” found ourselves back in Cape Cod for our friends’ first wedding anniversary, a full-circle moment that hinted at where things were headed.
The day we learned that Marissa had officially landed her DC job was the very first day of our very first international trip while wandering the charming streets of Ljubljana, Slovenia. That same trip ended in Cannes, France — one of our favorite places in the world, and now the place where were are bringing our guests back to celebrate our marriage.
From there, our story unfolded quickly. By October, our relationship was official. By January, Mishka was hauling boxes and helping Marissa move into a home just a few blocks away from his—conveniently close to the hospital where she would work.
The next two years were filled with adventure. Together, we explored 13 countries and countless cities, discovering not only the world but also how perfectly we fit into each other’s lives. We built a home together, bought a little dacha in the woods as our retreat, and on Christmas Eve, Mishka proposed in the cozy escape we had made our own.
What began with a cheeky exchange in Cape Cod has become a life built on laughter, love, and endless journeys. We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives side by side—best friends, travel partners, and now husband and wife—ready to experience the world together.

Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) - 1 hour 46 minute drive to Cannes
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) - 8 hours 45 minutes by car
Cannes Mandelieu Airport (CEQ) - 20 minute drive to Cannes, worth checking flights if you are coming from within Europe
TRAIN
Arrival Station: Cannes Station
From Nice Airport - Frequent trains with 30 minute transit time. Cost appx $15 each way.
From Marseille Airport (Vitrolles - Aéroport Marseille Provence) - Appx. 3 hour transit time. Plan ahead, make sure there is a train on your arrival date.
From Paris Airport - Travel time ranges from 6-8 hours. Prices $60-150
CAR RENTAL
This is our recommended mode of travel while in Europe and the easiest way to explore the Côte d'Azure and Provence. The top rental companies in Europe are Europecar and Sixt. We recommend booking ahead rather than waiting until you arrive at the airport.
Cost: The average cost varies based on when you book. If you wait until about a month before travel, the prices tend to be lower (in the range of $35-$45 per day) as opposed to twice as much.
License: You do not need a special license to drive in Europe, just bring your US license with you.
Insurance: Check with your credit card before you travel, many (specifically Chase Sapphire Preferred and Reserve) cover primary rental car insurance if you use that credit card to pay and decline coverage at the counter. This will save you a lot of money though they will try to get you to book insurance.
Pro tips: Make sure to choose automatic, rather than manual. Pay attention to fuel type. Choose a smaller vehicle, streets and parking spaces in Europe are very small.
Parking in Cannes: Your hotel may offer parking for a fee. We typically google map a parking garage near our hotel and choose the most convenient. This tends to cost between 10-20 euro per day. There is also metered street parking available.
