FAQ's

Black-Tie

For Women

Can I wear black? What colours are appropriate?
Yes you can. Think evening appropriate colours like jewel tones, rich shades and metallics but avoid daytime florals, cream, ivory, champagne and white.

Are women required to wear hats?
No.

What shoes are appropriate?
Opt for something like a pointed pump, a slingback or a barely-there sandal. If you prefer flats, an elegant pair of ballet pumps look great.

For Men

What shoes are appropriate?
Traditional black patent leather or polished leather dress shoes are best.

Can men wear white dinner jackets?
For our celebration we ask that only black dinner jackets are worn.

Can men wear a standard dark suit instead of a tuxedo?
No, standard business suits lack the satin details that define formal evening wear. For black-tie events, a tuxedo (dinner suit) is required.

WEDDING DAY TRANSPORT

Travelling to Villa Aurelia from the city centre (Trevis Fountain) can take between 20 to 30 minutes by car. To help make things as easy as possible, we’ll be arranging a round-trip coach service between a designated meeting point near the centre of Rome and Villa Aurelia.

Coaches will take guests to the venue before the celebration and bring everyone back to the centre of Rome at the end of the evening, departing Villa Aurelia between 12:30-1:00am.

The coaches will be following a set route and unfortunately won’t be able to make additional stops or diversions. However, on the return journey, guests are very welcome to hop off along the route if that’s more convenient or closer to where you’re staying.

We’ll share the exact meeting point, departure details and route map closer to the date. Please let us know via the RSVP page if you would prefer to use this service.

There is no on-site parking but the venue is accessible by taxi, uber and other car companies.
