QUESTIONS
What is the dress code?
The dress code is Coastal Cocktail Attire. We recommend light, breathable fabrics and soft, seasonal colors that are perfect for a September evening in San Diego.
For ladies, flowy midi or maxi dresses, chic jumpsuits, or dressy separates with wedges, block heels, dressy flats, or other shoes suitable for walking on grass. For gentlemen, lightweight suits or dress pants paired with a button-down shirt, blazer, or sport coat are ideal.
Our advice? Dress for the occasion, but keep it light, comfortable, and celebration-ready!
Will the ceremony be outside?
Yes! Since parts of the venue are on grass, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes with a sturdy heel or flat sole.
Will there be cocktails at the ceremony?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide our guests cocktails at our ceremony venue, Balboa Park. Cocktail hour will begin at 6:00 PM at our dinner venue, Juniper and Ivy.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that there are no phones and cameras during our wedding ceremony. There will be plenty of photo ops at dinner.
Will there be parking available at the ceremony?
Yes. A large parking lot is located near the entrance to the Veterans Museum and Administrative Courtyard, and limited street parking is also available closer to the courtyard.
For the drop-offs, pull up to the loading zone next to the Administrative Building, which is closest to the ceremony site.
We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to allow enough time to park and walk to the ceremony.

Is there a tram in Balboa Park?
We don't know but will check it out.
Will there be dietary and allergy-friendly meals at dinner after the ceremony? What about kids' meals?
Yes! Juniper & Ivy is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies, and a kids' menu is also available.
If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please **fill out the Allergy & Dietary Restrictions Form** so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Please note the restaurant will not accommodate preference alone, but there will be may options to choose from for all of our guests.
Can I bring a plus one?
We wish we could celebrate with everyone, but due to the intimate nature of our wedding, we're only able to accommodate the guest(s) listed on your invitation. We've intentionally kept our celebration small, with a close-knit group made up mostly of family and our closest friends.
