Our Journey

Like many good stories, ours began long before we started dating.

Years ago, our best friends Jess and Stetson Hays unknowingly brought us into each other’s lives. We spent years crossing paths, staying connected through mutual friends, and cheering each other on from afar. Then, one weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, our friendship became something more. That trip gave us a memory we’ll always cherish and marked the beginning of a life we never could have imagined together.

Since then, we’ve built a life around adventure, curiosity, and never sitting still for long. Most weekends you’ll find us training for a race, out on a run, skiing, kayaking, traveling, finding a new favorite restaurant, or spending time with family, friends, Leo, and Whiskey. Along the way, we’ve become each other’s biggest teammate. We celebrate every win, shoulder every challenge, and keep pushing each other toward the life we dream about. We’re better because we’ve always had someone worth pushing for.

This year, we bought our first home in Fairview, where weekends are now filled with renovation projects, Clark’s long-awaited whiskey room, the home gym we’d always dreamed of, and two dogs convinced they’re in charge of every project. Building a home together has become our newest adventure, and we can’t wait to see where it leads.

As we begin this next chapter, there’s no one we’d rather have by our side than the people who have helped us become who we are. Whether you’ve known us for a lifetime or became part of our journey along the way, you’ve left your mark on our lives. Thank you for celebrating with us, for believing in us, and for helping make this weekend one we’ll remember forever. We can’t wait to raise a glass, fill the dance floor, and begin forever surrounded by the people we love most.

Travel & Accommodations

Getting Here

Satolah Creek Farm is tucked away in the beautiful North Georgia mountains, just outside of Clayton, Georgia. October is one of the busiest times of year in the area, so we encourage you to book your travel and accommodations early.

For guests flying in, the closest airports are:

* Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) – approximately 1.5 hours
* Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) – approximately 2 hours
* Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) – approximately 2.5–3 hours

A rental car is highly recommended, as public transportation and rideshare services are extremely limited in the area.

Accommodations

We’re currently working on a room block with Bridge Creek Inn in downtown Clayton. Details will be shared as soon as they’re finalized.

If you’d prefer to book on your own, here are a few nearby options:

* Bridge Creek Inn (Clayton, GA) – approximately 15–20 minutes from Satolah Creek Farm
* Kingwood Resort (Clayton, GA) – approximately 15–20 minutes
* Trailborn Highlands (Highlands, NC) – approximately 25–30 minutes

You’ll also find many wonderful Airbnb and Vrbo cabins throughout Clayton, Dillard, Highlands, and the surrounding mountains.

October is peak leaf season in the North Georgia mountains, and accommodations book quickly. We encourage you to reserve your stay early so you have the best selection.

Gifting

Your Presence is Present Enough but if you must

If you’d like to celebrate with a gift, we’ve chosen to keep things simple.

Earlier this year, we purchased our first home together and have been busy making it our own. We’re also dreaming of our honeymoon—an Italian ski adventure in early 2027.

If you’d like, you can contribute toward either our Honeymoon Fund or our Home Renovation Fund. Thank you for helping us build our next adventure together—we’re so grateful for your love and support.

Have Questions?

We Have all the answers

What is the venue address?

Satolah Creek Farm
2220 Highway 28 N
Clayton, GA 30525

We recommend entering the address into your GPS before leaving your accommodations, as cell service can be limited in the mountains. Please allow a little extra travel time, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the area.

What time should I arrive on Saturday?

Please plan to arrive by 4:30 PM ET (reminder: Clayton, GA is eastern timezone) so everyone is seated before the ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM.

Will the ceremony be outside?

Yes. Please plan for weather and walking on uneven grass.

What should I wear?

Our wedding is cocktail attire/farm formal.

The ceremony and reception will take place primarily outdoors on grass and uneven terrain, so we recommend choosing shoes accordingly. Block heels, wedges, boots, or dress shoes with sturdy soles are all great options.

Evenings in the mountains can get chilly in October, so bringing a light jacket or wrap is encouraged.

What if it rains?

October weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, and we’re embracing it!

Our celebration will continue rain or shine. While we’ll have accommodations in place, you may encounter some wet ground—or even a few raindrops—so come prepared and ready to celebrate no matter the forecast.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely! We love celebrating with the whole family and are excited to welcome guests of all ages. Parents know their little ones best, so please plan accordingly for an evening celebration on a working farm.

Where should I stay?

We’re currently working on a room block with Bridge Creek Inn and will share details as soon as they’re available.

You’re also welcome to book independently at Kingwood Resort, Trailborn Highlands, or one of the many Airbnb and Vrbo cabins throughout Clayton, Dillard, Highlands, and the surrounding mountains.

October is one of the most beautiful—and busiest—times of year in North Georgia. Peak fall colors bring lots of leaf peepers to the area, so we recommend booking your accommodations as early as possible.

What airport should I fly into?

The closest major airports are:

* Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP)
* Asheville (AVL)
* Atlanta (ATL)

Rental cars are highly recommended, as mountain destinations are spread out.

Can I bring a guest?

Due to venue capacity, we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.

Will transportation be provided?

Once you arrive at Satolah Creek Farm, everything throughout the evening is within easy walking distance. Transportation to and from the venue will not be provided. Please plan ahead and arrange a designated driver or carpool with family and friends. The venue is accessed by narrow, winding mountain roads, and we want everyone to arrive home safely after a wonderful evening of celebrating.

Is there parking?

Yes! Complimentary parking will be available at the venue. Follow the signs and parking attendants upon arrival.

Will dinner be served?

Absolutely! Following the ceremony, we’ll kick off the evening with a cocktail hour featuring appetizers and drinks. Dinner will be served buffet-style with a variety of options for everyone to enjoy. After dinner, stick around for dessert, dancing, and a night of celebrating with us.

Is there an open bar?

Yes! We’ll be serving beer, wine, cocktails, and a few signature drinks inspired by our favorite four-legged companions.

Are there animals on the property?

Yes! Satolah Creek Farm is an operational farm, so you may see animals around the property during the weekend.

What should we do while we are in town?

Make a weekend of it! Enjoy scenic drives, hiking, wineries, breweries, shopping in Highlands or Clayton, waterfalls, and the beautiful fall foliage throughout the mountains.

Who should I contact if I have questions?

If you have any questions leading up to the wedding, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Meghan or Clark. We’re always happy to help.

On the wedding day, we’d love to be fully present with our family and friends. For any day-of questions, directions, or last-minute needs, please contact Clare Clancey.
