FLIGHTS
PUERTO VALLARTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (PVR)
Sayulita is 45-60 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport.
If you plan to join us for the welcome party Thursday evening, be sure to allow extra time for customs, baggage claim, and car time to Sayulita.
Where to Stay
Sayulita is a small surf town with mostly private villas and boutique stays rather than large resorts. Below are a few of our personal recommendations! Just keep in mind that the resorts are a bit farther from the festivities!
La Puesta Sayulita
Our favorite hotel in town! A modern beachfront boutique hotel with ocean view rooms, a pool, and swim up bar overlooking the water. The hotel's rooftop is also where we'll be hosting our welcome party!
~13 minutes to the venue
Siete Lunas
A rustic boutique hotel nestled in the hills of Sayulita, featuring ocean view bungalows and lush tropical surroundings. A great option for guests looking for a laid-back, nature focused stay.
~7 minutes to the venue
Four Seasons Punta Mita
A luxury stay with beautiful beaches, nearby surf, & golf courses. A great option for guests looking to enjoy a relaxing resort getaway outside of Sayulita.
~30 minutes to the venue
Rosewood Mandarina
A beautiful new resort nestled between the jungle and ocean, with private beaches and walkable surf. Perfect for guests looking for a secluded, nature forward getaway outside of Sayulita.
~40 minutes to the venue
RIDES
Golf Carts
If you are staying in the town, we recommend renting a golf cart to get around during the weekend! Most companies will deliver the cart directly to where you are staying and pick it up when you are heading out.
Shuttles
We’ll be coordinating transportation throughout the weekend, including between PVR and Sayulita for guests flying around similar times, getting to and from the boat, and rides home after the wedding. Please submit your details below so we can group guests and plan accordingly.
Private Transfers
If you’d rather arrange your own ride, we recommend Ola Sayulita Transportation for private transfers to and from PVR.
Uber
Uber is not a reliable form of transportation in Sayulita, we encourage prearranged transportation.
THINGS TO DO
BITES & SIPS
Alto Alto
Mediterranean restaurant with rooftop dining perched above town. Panoramic views, elevated small plates, and inventive cocktails.
Nativva
An intimate, beautifully designed space filled with lush greenery. Creative take on Mexican and Latin cuisine.
Xochi
A lively, colorful Mexican restaurant in the heart of Sayulita. They serve creative traditional dishes.
Chamán Creative Kitchen
One of our favorite spots for margaritas in Sayulita! Chamán has a relaxed, bohemian atmosphere and serves Mexican dishes and cocktails made with local ingredients.
SURF
Rentals & Lessons
Sayulita is known for its surfing! You can rent a board or take a lesson right on the main beach or venture to explore some of the area's best surf breaks. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, we recommend arranging an instructor in advance for the best experience.
Where to Paddle Out
La Lancha: A 25-minute drive south of Sayulita, followed by a 10-minute walk to the beach. Offers gentle, consistent rollers and a beautiful, uncrowded jungle beach.
Bahía: Ideal for intermediate surfers! A 25-minute drive south of Sayulita, followed by a 10-minute boat ride to some of the area's best surf breaks along the coastline.
OCEAN ADVENTURES
If surfing isn't your thing, charter a boat or book an excursion to the Marietas Islands for snorkeling, paddle boarding, scuba diving, coastal sightseeing, or simply a relaxing day at sea.
We’ll be taking everyone out on a boat on Friday afternoon, but won’t be visiting the Marietas Islands, so we definitely recommend exploring them if you have extra time!
WANDER & EXPLORE
Stroll Town & Shop Local
Wander the cobblestone streets on the north side of town. It's a quieter, more relaxed part of Sayulita.
QUICK LOCAL TIPS
Bring Pesos
While most restaurants accept cards, many boutique shops remain cash-only (pesos highly preferred). ATMs in town can run low on busy weekends and have a significant surcharge.
Do Not Drink the Tap Water
Always stick to bottled or filtered water.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be transportation provided?
Yes! We’ll be coordinating transportation throughout the weekend, including between PVR and Sayulita for guests flying around similar times, getting to and from the boat, and rides home after the wedding. Please submit your details below so we can group guests and plan accordingly.
What is the dress code?
Island Formal
Tropical, elegant floor-length dresses and suits or dress pants with a blazer.
Expect warm, sunny weather in the low to mid-80s. Our ceremony will be barefoot on the beach, followed by dinner on the grass, so keep this in mind when choosing your heels.
See mood boards below for outfit inspiration!
Are kids allowed to join the festivities?
Unfortunately, no.
Is there a party....AFTER the party?
YES! The dance floor will shut down at midnight, but we’ll have a bonfire on the beach where guests can hang out under the stars by the ocean!
Anything else we need to know?
Nope! Everything you need to know should be on this site, if you can't find something, just text us. We're happy to help, and so beyond grateful you are making the journey to celebrate with us.
