Jennifer & Omar

– our story –

We met during medical residency, Jennifer was chief resident when Omar was just an intern, which means she was absolutely his boss before she was his fiancée. She probably didn't expect one of her interns to become her future husband, but here we are. What started in the chaos of training turned into something neither of us saw coming.

If you know Omar, you know he doesn't do anything small. So when it came time to propose, he whisked Jennifer off to Botswana for a safari, took her on an open-door helicopter tour over the Okavango Delta, landed in the middle of the bush, and got down on one knee. Safe to say she said yes.

In 2022, we visited Lake Louise and fell completely in love with the mountains, the scenery, and the feeling that there was nowhere else on earth we'd rather celebrate our wedding. Life had other plans in the meantime, and we got married in Chicago in 2023, but the dream of Lake Louise never left us. So we kept planning, and now we're finally making it happen.

When we're not working, you'll find us hunting down a new restaurant to try, planning our next trip, or completely zoned out on the couch watching reality TV or sports with our dog Wrigley. We love a good movie, we love to travel, and we really, really love Wrigley.

We're so excited to share one of our favorite places with you. We hope you can join us this fall in Lake Louise!

What should I wear to the wedding?

We encourage guests to dress formally - long dresses, elegant cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits for women, and dark suits with a tie for men. The setting is mountain formal, and evening temperatures can be cool, so we recommend bringing a shawl or jacket since the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, weather permitting.

What should I wear to the welcome event?

The suggested attire theme for our welcome event is "Rocky Mountain Chic." Dinner will be held indoors, but the viewing platform at the top of Sulphur Mountain can get cold and windy - bring a jacket so you can enjoy the view comfortably.

Attire Ideas: elevated dark-wash denim, knit sweaters, midi/maxi silk skirts, velvet, tailored coats and blazers
Color Palette: neutrals, rich earth tones, forest green, indigo
