Got a Question?
FAQ's
Hawkins? Wait, you’re both taking a new last name?
Thanks for noticing! Hawkins was Kyle’s mother’s name, and taking it together is our way of honoring her. We’re excited to start this next chapter as the Hawkins family!
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Black tie. Think old New Orleans glamour, a little dramatic, a little witchy, a little romantic. One thing to avoid: white or ivory (it’s a wedding) and please skip bordeaux/oxblood tones too, since that's what our bridesmaids are wearing. Beyond that, have fun with it.
When should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP no later than August 15, 2027. If you do not RSVP on time, we will assume you are unable to attend. We will miss celebrating with you, but we would like to provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!
Can I bring a plus one?
All invitations are addressed to those invited. If your invitation includes "and guest," yes! If you're not sure, just ask us.
Are children invited?
This is an adults-only celebration. We love your little ones, but we're asking everyone to leave them home for the weekend. Enjoy a little adult time! Laissez les bons temps rouler!
Can I take photos and videos?
We are having an “unplugged” ceremony (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say “I do”. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and we promise to share our photos as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like!
Where do I stay?
We are so honored you're making the journey to the Big Easy to celebrate us! Because our wedding falls on Halloween weekend, one of the busiest weekends of the year in New Orleans, we recommend booking your hotel as early as possible (think Spring 2027). For room block details and our hotel recommendations, visit our Travel page.
Parking / How do I get around?
Since our wedding falls on Halloween weekend, expect the French Quarter and Marigny to be busier and more crowded than usual, with possible street closures and rideshare surge pricing. We recommend rideshare or a taxi over driving yourself, and building in 30–45 minutes to get around and find parking if you do drive. After the ceremony, we'll head to Latrobe’s for the Second Line and reception at 6:45.
United Cab : (504) 522-9771
What is a Second Line?
A second line is a quintessential New Orleans tradition, typically done at weddings and funerals. It's a parade through the streets, following a brass band, dancing and celebrating along the way. After our ceremony, we'll meet at Latrobe's to start a second line around the block to celebrate our nuptials! We invite you to join us! No experience necessary, just bring your dancing shoes and a little razzle dazzle.
