things to do

our first date

Fifth Element Indian Restaurant

Looking for incredible Indian food while you’re in town? Fifth Element is a local favorite — and it’s extra special to us because it’s where we had our very first date and where Richie proposed! From flavorful curries to warm, welcoming vibes, this spot is a must-visit

culture

Fort Mose State Park

Here, you can see where the Spanish government established the first free Black settlement in North America. The fort with its Black militia was captained by Mandingo native baptized as Francisco Menéndez. In the Visitors’ Center, you will learn the story of the northernmost fort that played a critical role in defending Spain’s colony at St. Augustine.

history

Castillo de San Marcos

A timeless landmark in St. Augustine, the Castillo de San Marcos offers beautiful waterfront views and a glimpse into the city’s rich history. It’s a peaceful place to wander, take photos, and enjoy the charm of America’s oldest city.

arts

Lincoln Museum and Cultural Center

With over 450 years of history, the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center. was settled by freedmen in the wake of the Civil War. The LMCC tells the story of St. Augustine’s black history stretching from the empires of West Africa and the early black presence in colonial Florida to the 20th century.

outdoors

walk downtown st. augustine

While you’re here celebrating with us, take time to wander the oldest streets in St. Augustine and soak in the charm of the nation’s oldest city. Step back in time at the Oldest Wooden School House, grab a slice at the famous Pizza Time, and don’t miss a visit to the legendary Fountain of Youth. And for a sweet (and unforgettable) treat, be sure to try Kernel Poppers’ Oreo Cheesecake Popcorn. Whether you’re strolling the cobblestone lanes or discovering hidden gems, St. Augustine offers history, flavor, and fun at every corner.

family fun

chocolate factory tours

For a fun outing, head to the Whetstone Chocolate Factory Tour, where you’ll learn how chocolates are made (and, best of all, enjoy plenty of samples along the way). If you’re in the mood for something quirky, explore the oddities and surprises at Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, a St. Augustine classic filled with interactive exhibits the whole family will enjoy.
