What should I wear?

The dress code for the wedding is semi-formal. Since the ceremony is on the beach, think polished but comfortable. For inspiration, think flowy dresses, midi or maxi lengths, suits (any color is fine!), and fall-inspired colors that feel beachy yet refined. We’ll provide flip flops and shawls for the ceremony, so you can stay cozy and sand-friendly. We’ll also have a shoe check station available for guests who want to be barefoot during the ceremony. Kick off your shoes and enjoy the sand — we’ll keep them safe for you!

We’re also hosting a welcome party the night before for all guests! The attire is Coastal Chic- Think elevated, breezy, and refined to set the tone for the weekend!

What if it rains?

In case of rain or inclement weather, the ceremony will also take place inside the Windrift restaurant, in the same location as the reception. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes!

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, but the wedding will be an adults-only celebration (21+). We hope you can use this evening as a fun night out and enjoy the festivities with us! You are welcome to bring kids to all other events (welcome party, brunch, and halloween party) if you wish!

What should I do in Avalon for the weekend?

Avalon is beautiful in the fall! While Avalon and Stone Harbor are quieter in the off-season, several great restaurants stay open in October, especially on weekends.
Here are a few of our favorite options:
- Avalon Brew Pub — Avalon: A cozy spot for craft beer lovers with a full menu and relaxed vibe — just a short walk from the Windrift!
- Jay’s on Third — Stone Harbor: Perfect for a nicer dinner out — seasonal, creative dishes in a beautiful atmosphere.
- Stone Harbor Bar & Grill — Stone Harbor: A fun and lively place with classic American fare — great for groups or a low-key dinner.

What is the timeline for the wedding day?

Here’s the schedule for Friday, October 30, 2026:

Guests can move directly between each location — everything is on-site at the Windrift.

Accessibility: There are elevators inside the Windrift to access each floor, and ramps leading to the beach for the ceremony, making all parts of the day comfortable and accessible for all guests.

Where can I park?

For the Welcome Party: There is free parking available at the Avalon Yacht Club.
For the Wedding: Parking at the Windrift is free! There is also a parking lot to the right of the beach entrance where the ceremony will take place.

Where is the nearest airport?

The closest commercial airport is Atlantic City International Airport (ACY), about 30-35 miles from Avalon. By car, it's around a 37-minute drive from Atlantic City to Avalon. If you're looking for public transport, there is a NJ Transit line (Bus 554) from ACY to Avalon. The Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) — is about 60–65 miles (1.5 hours) from Avalon. For private or small-plane travel, there is Woodbine Municipal Airport in Cape May County.

Are any of the events outdoors?

The welcome party will be indoors with the option to sit outside on the deck as well, The wedding ceremony will be outdoors (shawls provided!) and the cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.
