FAQ's

The answers to the questions you're dying to ask...

ESSENTIALS

- When is the wedding?! Friday 28th May, 2027.
- Where is the ceremony? Romsey Abbey, Church Lane, Romsey, SO41 8EP
- Where is the reception? Lower Ashfield Farm, Romsey, SO51 9NJ. Please look for the parking signs on the field gates.
- What time will the wedding finish? There isn't an official end time. For the civilised and sophisticated among us, carriages at midnight. For the degenerate party animals, end time TBC.
- When do I need to RSVP by? We ask guests to RSVP by the 28th April.
- Can I bring a plus 1? Unfortunately, only guests named on the invites are able to attend.
- Are children invited? No. Whilst we adore your little ones, this is adults only! We hope you'll take the opportunity to let your hair down!

DRESSCODE

- What is the dress code? Cocktail attire for ladies and gents. Ladies, please refrain from wearing black.
- Can I wear black? Just to make it really clear... no.
- What shoes should I wear? Whilst we endeavour to put down as much hard flooring as possible, 5 inch stilettos may be a bold choice. Feel free to bring a change of footwear for the dancefloor.

THE DAY

- What happens after the ceremony? We all head back to Lower Ashfield Farm to continue celebrating. We ask all guests to join us in getting the perfect confetti shot. Please await instructions from our photographer!
- Is the reception indoors or outdoors? The reception is in a covered sailcloth tent. The sides will be up or down, weather dependent.
- What happens if it rains? We all get wet.
- Can I take photos during the ceremony? Yes, you may. Please try to enjoy the moment rather than watching it through a screen though. Our very good photographer will be taking plenty of snaps.
- Can I post photos on social media? By all means. We ask that the bride and groom are kept out of these so that we can both make sure we look extra good before being posted on social media.
- Is there a bar? Have you met us? If you need to ask that question, perhaps we shouldn't have invited you.
- Will there be food? Again. Have you met us?
- Can you cater for allergies/dietary requirements? Yes. Please let us know via your RSVP.

TRANSPORT

- What time should I arrive at the ceremony? Please arrive by 10:40am latest in order to get seated in the Abbey. Seating is first come, first served.
- How do I get there and where shall I park? Guests can either park at one of the car parks in Romsey or at Lower Ashfield Farm in the morning and take a taxi/share transport. Guests that are going to drive to the Abbey, there are various car parks in Romsey. Please click the button below where we have marked these on a map for you. We have use of a private car park close to the Abbey but this is first come first served. We would encourage guests to travel together to take as few cars as possible.
- Can I leave my car overnight? Yes, cars will be parked away from the road at the farm so are fine to be left over night.
- Can I get an Uber/Taxis? Yes! Romsey now has Uber - we know! There are also several local taxi companies that can be pre booked.

OTHER

- Do you have a gift list? We don't expect gifts, however if you're feeling generous, any donations we receive will be going toward our honeymoon. Link below.
- What should I do if I have RSVP'd but can no longer attend? Please get in touch with either Ed or Polly. Contact details are at the link below.
