First Meeting

July 16th, 2020

Casandra and her roommate were looking for a third roommate in Dorchester and found Clara on Facebook Marketplace. The day we met we signed a lease together and we started dating a month after moving in together.

Our First Place

July 2nd, 2021

We moved to an apartment in Revere, which was the first place we lived together alone. We loved using the common area (pictured) to enjoy Clara's cooking by the fireplace.

Getting Engaged

August 31st, 2021

On a trip to Belize, Clara surprised Casandra with a proposal on our first night there. It was our one year anniversary from when we started dating.

Legal Wedding Day

November 4th, 2022

We got legally married in Providence City Hall with both of our parents there to witness. We followed this with a weekend getaway to a cabin in Vermont.

Our Condo

March 10, 2023

We closed on our condo in Providence, our home now, and went back to take this photo.

Juniper!

March 23, 2023

We took home Juniper, our puppy, only 13 days after signing on our condo. It was a rush to paint the whole place and move in to get ready for Juni!

Caitlin Petros

Casandra's Maid of Honor

Caitlin is one of my smartest friends - she’ll never shy away from giving me the advice I need to hear. She was the best roommate Amy and I had in college and our trio is still strong after 7 years. Through late night cram sessions, miserable paper writing, and long hours at work, together we could always forget the worst days and look forward to better ones. Even though we’re not roommates anymore, she always has a second home with me. - Casandra

Clio McBride

Clara's Maid of Honor

Clio is my sister, obviously, so I have known her all her life and for almost all of mine (all that I can remember anyways). She is one of my favorite people in the world, I couldn't imagine my life without her. - Clara

Kieran Wright

Casandra's Best Man

Kieran is one of my oldest friends and the most important person I met in college. I’ve visited him in every state he’s been stationed in. I look forward to going on trips together with Clara and his wife Laura, who became fast friends on their own. Our wives claim to be better friends than we are, but I’m just happy to know that wherever he is we can still hang out like 9 years haven’t passed at all. - Casandra

Rooshan Khan

Clara's Best Man

Rooshan is one of my oldest friends, we have known each other since middle school. Since he moved back to Canada after high school, we still see each other as much as we can. I'm so grateful to have a friendship where no matter the time apart we just click and have the most fun when we're together listening to the best music (him and I make the best party playlist). - Clara

Ryan & Bel O'Hagan

Official Court

Bel & Ryan are our downstairs neighbors. We first met them when they were moving in and our puppy Juni ran through their door thinking it was our place. They have become some of our closest friends over many game nights and shared dinners. We're so lucky to have such good friends just a staircase away - no one has to drive home at the end of the night when we're hanging out! - Clara & Casandra

Transportation

We have booked shuttle service through Experience RI for those who are staying at one of the above hotels. If you are staying at one of the hotels, you will receive further information about shuttle pickup upon arrival, but for your reference pickups will be starting at 5:30PM, so plan to be ready accordingly. The shuttle will provide roundtrip transportation to and from the hotels.

If you plan on driving, there is a large parking lot at Waterman Grille (the venue), so it will be easy to park.

Parking is very limited around the afterparty venue (it's all city street parking), so if you plan to go, I would recommend taking an Uber or Lyft. It is close to the hotels and should be a quick (3-5 minutes), inexpensive rideshare ride.

Flying In

Our wedding is over the weekend of Comic Con, a very large convention in the city. This means that flight prices may surge if you wait too long to book. If you are flying in, then please book as soon as you know you would like to come to the wedding for the sake of avoiding high prices and limited availability.

Very Important Travel Information

Our wedding is over the weekend of Comic Con, a very large convention in the city. This means that flight and hotel prices may surge if you wait too long to book. If you need to fly and/or get a hotel, then please book as soon as you know you would like to come to the wedding for the sake of avoiding high prices and limited availability. For further details on travel, please refer to the travel page.

Transportation

We have booked a shuttle service to transport those staying at the hotels on our travel page. Further details are on the travel page below.

RSVP Deadline

Please submit your RSVP through the page on the website by no later than 10/3/26. If we do not receive your RSVP by then, we will have to mark you as a "no" due to deadlines from the venue. Please note that if you plan to book a hotel through one of our room blocks on the Travel page, the deadline to book is set by the hotel and is generally 6-8 weeks out from the date of arrival, so please book as soon as you know you're able to come and do not wait, since you will not be able to get the discounted rate after the cutoff.

Plus Ones

Your Save the Date will list exactly who is invited on the back. Our venue is not very large and we would love to keep the party intimate with just friends and family. Everyone who we would like to join us will be invited by name.

Dress Code

The dress code for the event is black tie optional: tuxedos are not necessary (unless you want), just suits, and floor length formalwear (dresses, jumpsuits, etc).

Do not feel the need to buy something new, but if you are planning to or you're between some options, recommended colors to fit with the theme are dark green, gold, and browns, or any darker wintery colors (dark blue or purple, silver). This will not be a traditional wedding: both Casandra and Clara will be wearing black, not white, so feel free to wear white if you'd like! We understand that black is a very popular color so if that is the option you have and/or feel best in, go with it and know that you will just look extra cohesive in the photos with us! I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of black suits anyways. If you do have a non-black option, go ahead with that. The bridal party will be wearing dark red, so again if you do have another option please avoid it but if that's what you have then at least you'll be on theme!

Overall, we just want everyone to look and feel their best! Nothing here is required, just a guide to help you.

Kids

Kids are welcome as long as they are listed on the invite! We have plenty in both of our families that we love and would not want to exclude. The venue will have kids meals available. The afterparty is at a bar, and therefore not kid friendly.

Menu

Our venue is an amazing local restaurant that allows our guests to choose their meal the day of the event from a limited events menu, so no need to provide a selection ahead of time. If you do have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please make sure you fill out the form on the RSVP page to include that information so that we can pass it along to the venue and ensure they have a option ready for you.

Bar

The bar will be a cash bar for both the reception and afterparty. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks will be included during the reception so you will not have to pay for those.

Gifts/Registry

We will not be having a registry since we do not need or expect any gifts. We're already legally married, this party is in a way a gift to our family and friends to celebrate, so please do not feel the need to bring a gift or give anything at all. We're just happy to have everyone together. If you would like to give something, we would be grateful if you want to buy us a drink on our honeymoon, so cash is preferred. If you do have something sentimental you would like to give, then we will greatly appreciate it.

Additional Questions

Please feel free to text Clara at 401-644-4982 at any time if you have any additional questions.

Please RSVP by 10/3/26. If your Save the Date has more than one person listed (a partner or child), then please make sure to add them under "Add Invited Guest" and RSVP for them as well.
