Q&A
What should I wear to the wedding and other events?
The wedding dress code is Jungle Glam Semi-Formal! Our wedding is in the jungle of the Riviera Maya, so we recommend lighter, more breathable fabrics. Ties are optional. Additionally, the outdoor ground will be uneven so we strongly recommend wedge or block heels, espadrilles, or dressy sandals.
All other events are located at our beach hotel and can be festive or casual - whatever your vibe is! Have fun.
Will you provide transportation to the wedding venue?
Yes, we will have private transportation to take our guests between Petit Lafitte Hotel and the venue, starting at 4:15 PM. It’s a short drive! There will be earlier departure times starting after dinner on the night of our wedding to accommodate our guests.
How do I get to Petit Lafitte?
The hotel is about 50km (45 minutes) from the Cancun airport by car. If you’d like to arrange transportation through Petit Lafitte, please let them know at the link below. You can also arrange your own private taxi in advance. We have set up private transportation services through Lomas Travel. They have options for 1 - 13 persons if you are traveling in a group. Uber or other ride apps are not allowed at Cancun airport.

Can I bring my children?
We obviously love your children but, with the exception of our wedding party, guests under 18 years old are not invited to our weekend events.
If you would like to bring your children, we encourage you to consider a hotel or resort located nearby.
What is the hotel minimum night requirement and can I stay longer?
Yes, please stay as long as you’d like! Petit Lafitte requires a 3-night minimum during our hotel block. If you’d like to make this a longer trip, the hotel is honoring our rate for 3-days before and after our dates and you can book this by doing the following:
1. Book the three main nights (April 24-27) using the wedding code CANDICE+REGINA on the website.
2. Email Petit Lafitte directly at weddings.reservations@petitlafitte.com with your reservation name, the dates you wish to extend, and confirmation letter attached.
3. They will manually add the extra nights to your reservation and will not require an additional deposit for the extension; full payment will be requested 45 days before arrival.
What if I am staying at another hotel or resort?
If you prefer to stay somewhere else, you will be missed, but that is totally fine with us! We understand if you choose another hotel, especially if you plan on bringing your children.
Our room block at Petit Lafitte should accommodate most guests that want to stay there, but if we run out of rooms we will be sharing options for hotels nearby.
In either scenario, please be aware that our Welcome Drinks and Day After Party are for guests of Petit Lafitte only but you will have no issues still attending our wedding as it is off premises. Please contact us if you are unable to stay at our hotel but want to attend these other events, and we will see what’s possible!
What about meals?
Breakfast and dinner are included in our hotel rate. On Friday night, there will be a beach BBQ after our welcome drinks, or feel free to venture out on your own. On Sunday night, we recommend making a dinner reservation with Petit Lafitte if you plan on eating at the hotel.
Petit Lafitte Meal Times:
Breakfast, 7am-10:30am (Sunday Brunch is 8am - 12pm)
Dinner, 7pm-9:30pm
What amenities does the hotel have?
Petit Lafitte is located directly on the beach and also has a pool for guests. There is daily yoga included in your rate and several spa & wellness services are available by reservation.
I have never been to Riviera Maya before, can I explore and still come to your wedding?
Yes! There is so much to do around the beautiful area and we understand if you want to plan an excursion on Friday or Sunday. We made it easy to RSVP to each event separately so you can opt-out of welcome cocktails or the day after party as needed.
