MEET US IN MEXICO IN

A NOTE FROM US

One of the things we have always loved most as a couple is sharing new experiences and exploring the world together, so celebrating our wedding abroad felt like a natural choice. San Miguel de Allende is a place filled with beauty, color, culture, and warmth, and we cannot imagine a more special setting to enter this next chapter of our lives.

For anyone who may feel nervous about traveling to Mexico, San Miguel is a very well-established international destination with a large community of American & Canadian residents and visitors. Like any international destination, normal travel precautions are important, but the city is accustomed to welcoming travelers from around the world.

We know that joining us requires time, travel, and planning, and it would truly mean the world to have our favorite people make the journey. Our goal is to make the experience as easy and seamless as possible, so we have gathered helpful travel information, transportation guidance, and recommendations throughout this website.

Having the people we love together in one place is the greatest gift we could ask for. Thank you for traveling the distance, sharing in this adventure, and helping make our wedding celebration so meaningful.

We cannot wait to welcome you to San Miguel and celebrate together.

With love,
Matt & Bella

YOUR ONE STOP SHOP FOR ALL TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION, AND RECOMMENDED ACTIVITIES FOR YOUR TIME IN OUR FAVORITE CITY

FLY ON IN

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE IS A SMALL, COLONIAL-ERA CITY NORTH OF MEXICO CITY. BECAUSE OF IT'S HISTORY, IT DOES NOT HAVE AN AIRPORT. BELOW ARE SUGGESTED METHODS TO GET THERE. WE ALSO HAVE RECOMMENDED METHODS OF TRANSPORTATION SUGGESTED BELOW.

OPTION 1

QUERETARO
GUANAJUATO

QUERETARO IS A CITY LESS THAN AN HOUR AWAY FROM SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE.

OPTION 2

LEÓN
GUANAJUATO

LEÓN IS A CITY APPROXIMATELY 1.5 HOURS AWAY FROM SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE.

For those flying from San Diego, we highly recommend flying out of Tijuana (TIJ). There are frequent, affordable nonstop flights to both destinations listed below, and crossing the border through CBX (Cross Border Xpress) is incredibly easy and convenient, with direct access to the Tijuana airport.

TRANSPORTATION

We understand how stressful coordinating transportation can be in a foreign country. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our guests, and will include as much information as we can below.

TRANSPORTATION FROM QUERETARO

Private Transfers: These are very common for transportation between both cities. This can be booked on a variety of websites (one that we have used previously is linked below) or via Uber.

Busses: There are luxury busses that run several times a day for approximately $5 USD.

Coordinated Transfers (Via Bella): If there is enough demand, Bella will work with guests to coordinate a shared transfer. We are unclear on cost per person. You can email her via the link below that this is something you are interested in.

WHERE TO STAY

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE HAS AN INCREDIBLE SELECTION OF BOUTIQUE HOTELS, LUXURY PROPERTIES, AND BEAUTIFUL AIRBNBS. WE’VE INCLUDED SOME OF OUR FAVORITE RECOMMENDATIONS BELOW TO HELP YOU FIND THE PERFECT PLACE TO CALL HOME FOR THE WEEKEND.

AS OUR WEDDING FALLS OVER NEW YEAR’S EVE, ONE OF THE BUSIEST TIMES OF YEAR IN SAN MIGUEL, ACCOMMODATIONS TEND TO FILL QUICKLY AND PRICES WILL INCREASE AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE DATE. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING EARLY FOR THE BEST SELECTION AND RATES.

WE ARE ALSO CURRENTLY WORKING ON SECURING HOTEL ROOM BLOCKS FOR OUR GUESTS AND WILL UPDATE THIS PAGE WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AS SOON AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I GET A PLUS ONE?

While we wish we could celebrate with everyone, unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests. If a plus one has been extended to you, your Save the Date and invitation will either be addressed to both guests or will include “and Guest.” If our guest list allows for additional plus ones as we get closer to the wedding, we’ll absolutely reach out to those who have inquired. Thank you so much for understanding!
