OUR STORY
How We Met
We first met, briefly, one evening in September during college at Berkeley. Despite living just a block apart, our interactions were limited to a few passing moments over the years, fleeting and seemingly unremarkable at the time, but not forgotten.
That changed on September 28, 2023, two nights before we were to serve as best man and maid of honor at a wedding at Ashlyn’s parents’ home. What began as a conversation that evening continued, uninterrupted, for hours. From that point forward, it never truly stopped.
In the days that followed, we came to appreciate how closely our lives had run in parallel. We shared mutual friends, overlapping experiences, and even the same favorite eight-person class in college, taken in different semesters. For years, we had been moving within the same circles, just slightly out of step, until our timing finally aligned.
Our Engagement
We got engaged on September 26, 2025, on the same beach where we spent hours talking the night we met.
