Airport Logistics

Aspen Airport: ASE
Eagle County Airport: EGE
Denver International: DEN
Grand Junction Regional Airport: GJT

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE): Just a 7-minute drive (3 miles) from downtown Aspen. Complimentary shuttles from the airport will be provided with our preferred hotels. Flying into ASE is the easiest way to travel to Aspen, but please keep in mind flights into and out of ASE are more at risk of being delayed or cancelled due to weather (heat, wind). As such, we only recommend flying into ASE if you are planning to fly in by Friday morning.

Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE): Vail airport, about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive (68 miles) from downtown Aspen. Private transport can be costly (~$500), so we recommend organizing a rental car in advance. The EGE slightly airport is larger than ASE and can accommodate standard 737 size planes.

Denver International Airport (DEN): Roughly a 3.5 hour drive (220 miles) from downtown Aspen. Direct flights to and from nearly all major cities.

Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT): Roughly a 2 hour drive (127 miles) from downtown Aspen. Direct flights from Dallas, Phoenix, Orange County, Las Vegas & Salt Lake City

Details

Mountain Health

How might I want to prepare to avoid altitude aickness?

To avoid altitude sickness, it is recommended you give your body 24 to 48 hours to acclimate to higher elevation prior to attending the wedding. To support acclimation, drink plenty of water before and during your trip. Minimizing alcohol consumption immediately upon first 24 hours of arrival and eating carbohydrate rich foods (who doesn't love an excuse to eat pasta) often prove helpful as well.

Mountain Health

What do I need to keep in mind about drinking alcohol at high elevation?

Drinking responsibly at high elevations is critically important. Keep in mind the famous myth, 1 beer in the mountains = 2 to 3 at sea level!

Ensure you drink enough water and consume plenty of electrolytes in prepartion for the weekend.

Welcome Party

What attire should we wear for the welcome party?

We're embracing Aspen's Western Chic ambiance. Cowboy hats are welcome for everyone!
Gentlemen: Dark wash jeans or pants with a sportcoat.
Ladies: Cocktail western-inspired looks. No jeans for ladies, please.

Welcome Party

Will there be food at the welcome party?

Of course, we will have heavy bites!

The Wedding

Is there an alternative way to get to / from the wedding besides the gondola?

No, the gondola is the sole form of transit to and from the wedding.

The Wedding

What if I am not feeling well during the wedding at the top of the mountain?

During the duration of the wedding night, there will be dedicated access to a medical team to support altitude sickness or any other concern. Additionally, the gondola will be running the entire evening so you are welcome to ride it back down the mountain if you are not feeling well.

The Wedding

Will there be Gluten Free / Dairy Free / Vegetarian Options / Allergy Accommodiations?

Yes, of course! The chef will be preparing a variety of options to meet everyone's dietary needs. The Bride is vegetarian, so rest assured there will be plenty of alternative options.

The Wedding

Can I wear a Kemo Sabe hat to the wedding?

We can't wait to see your hats at the welcome party, but please no hats at the wedding.

The Wedding

Will there be a hora?

Yes! For those who may not know, the hora is a traditional Jewish celebration dance where guests are invited to join hands, and spin in a circle surrounding the bride and groom / family. The circle symbolizes unity and support from friends & family while the bride and groom are lifted up on chairs. The tradition celebrates collective joy.
