With Love

Our Story

Like many modern love stories, ours started online, but looking back, it's a wonder we hadn't met years earlier. Turns out, we'd been crossing paths without ever knowing it. We both lived in Boston at the same time. We both worked at public health non-profits in NYC, blocks away from each other. We both lived in the H Street Corridor of DC at the same time. We even traveled to Rome, Italy during the same stretch. And we rang in 2019 at the same New Year's Eve party. Somehow, with all those near-misses, it took a dating app for us to actually meet.

Our first date happened to be during the US Open finals. Amber was a little hesitant to schedule a date on a school night and match night, but took a chance on love anyway. They were so wrapped up in the conversation that Amber didn't even mind missing Coco play. The date even stretched into the night, ending at a speakeasy where they kept the conversation going. Amadi joked that one day they'd return there to celebrate a milestone—and they did, for the engagement photos pictured throughout this site.

Not long after that first date, we found ourselves lacing up and training for our first 10-miler together—turns out chasing a finish line side by side is a pretty great way to fall in love. One date turned into many, friendship turned into love, and before we knew it, we were building a life together. Now we're counting down to our favorite chapter yet—and we can't wait to celebrate it with all of you!

THE COUNT

Wedding Registry

Your presence is our present. In lieu of a traditional registry, we've set up a honeymoon fund for those who wish to contribute to our first adventure as newlyweds.

Thank You!
