- Fly from your origin to Athens (ATH) and stay overnight, then take the early morning direct flight from Athens to Kalymnos (JKL).
*The flight typically leaves approximately 7:00 AM, which is why the Athens overnight is needed.*
(This is the most direct way to the island.)

OPTION 2 - VIA ATHENS & KOS, SHORT BOAT RIDE

- Fly from your origin to Athens (ATH) and connect with Aegean Air or Sky Express to Kos (KGS).
- From Mastichari Port take a 25 minute boat to Kalymnos.
*Taxis to Mastichari Port are readily available outside Kos Airport*

OPTION 3 - STRAIGHT TO KOS, SHORT BOAT RIDE

- Fly from your origin to Kos (KGS) through a European hub shown below.

ABOUT KALYMNOS

Kalymnos is a small island in the Dodecanese, between Kos and Leros. It's known for its rock climbing, sponge diving, and has stayed quiet with whitewashed villages, clear water, good food and little to no crowds. Main tourist areas include the quaint Masouri, which looks across the water at the islet of Telendos. Come early, stay a while, and make a holiday of it. Some spots you can't miss are below.

MASOURI BEACH & TOWN

This is the island’s lively seaside hub, where beach days give way to cafés, tavernas and sunset dinners overlooking Telendos across the water. It’s one of the easiest places to settle into the relaxed rhythm of Kalymnos.

TELENDOS

Just across the water from Kalymnos, Telendos is a tiny, car-free island reached by a short boat ride from Myrties every 30 minutes. Enjoy a swim, wander the quiet paths and stay for a long lunch or dinner by the sea. Just don't forget to walk to the small church overlooking a stunning sunset before you leave.

THE PORT OF POTHIA

Kalymnos’ colorful capital and working harbor, with neoclassical architecture, waterfront cafés, local shops and the everyday energy of island life. It offers a different side of Kalymnos from the quieter western coast along with beautiful port-side restaurants to enjoy food while you people-watch.

Kalymnos has a maritime identity all its own, shaped for generations by the sea and its famous sponge-diving tradition.
