our wedding venue is less than a mile away from the primary hotel in the area: the mission inn resort + club. we will provide shuttle bus transportation between the mission inn and the howey mansion on the day of the wedding.
our ceremony begins at 5pm, so please plan to be seated by 4:50pm at the latest. the ceremony will run for less than 30 minutes, and we are asking for a completely unplugged experience. leave your phones in your bags and pockets, please! or fear the wrath of anastasia.
after the ceremony, cocktail hour will begin immediately, followed by a reception in the courtyard. after dinner, we will gather inside the mansion for dancing. you are invited to bring a more comfortable pair of shoes to change into when the dance floor opens; shoe storage will be provided!
our reception will end by 11pm, with opportunities to continue the festivities back at the mission inn.

the event is $199 per person ($261.90 with taxes & gratuity), and it includes a five-course meal, open bar, seven-piece band, balloon drop, and more.
this year's theme is winter wonderland, and the dress code is black-tie optional.
space is limited, so call ASAP! please mention that you are with the oswald party to ensure proximate seating.
welcome drinks

this event will be held in the candlelight courtyard at the mission resort.
all attendees will get one drink ticket; further drinks can be purchased at our cash bar. light bites and dessert will be provided.

FLIGHTS
out-of-state? plan to fly into orlando international airport (MCO).
from there, you can either rent a car or use your favorite rideshare app to get to howey-in-the-hills.
total travel time ranges from 40 minutes - 1 hour, depending on traffic in and around orlando.
is it a bit of a haul? yes.
will it be worth it? also yes.
if you plan to explore any neighboring towns while you are in the area, renting a car is your best bet, given the lack of rideshare availability in howey-in-the-hills. see some options below for things to do!
LODGING
for the best and most stress-free experience, stay at the mission resort + club.
this is where all events, aside from the ceremony and reception, will take place. it is less than a mile from the wedding venue itself.
prices are quite reasonable, and transportation to and from the venue will be provided to mission resort guests.
if you want to stay with a larger group, we suggest looking at airbnb.com or vrbo.com. some homes are quite close to the venue and are thus easily accessible throughout the wedding weekend.
other hotels can be found 15-20 minutes outside of howey-in-the-hills. you are welcome to book a room at these hotels, but transportation will not be provided, and we cannot speak to their quality.

mission resort activities
AKA things to do without getting in the car
howey-in-the-hills is a snoozy old florida town, but at the mission resort, there is plenty to do!
you will almost certainly find us at the spa on the 1st -- all services can be booked through the mission resort's website below. the pool will also be a go-to hangout space, though if you see either of us lounging poolside, please remind us to reapply sunscreen!
if you're a golfer, you will find some of the best courses in florida on property. clubs can be rented for $75, or you can bring your own! adam will be golfing with the guys on the morning of the wedding, so if you want to join his tee time, let us know ASAP!
the mission resort also offers pickleball, tennis, and other such sports, though you can bet you will not find us trading in our converse sneaks for tennis whites.
local happenings
AKA things to see that are worth a drive
if you want to sit on the water, drive down the road to jb boondocks, AKA the restaurant we visited after touring the howey mansion! the food is fine (we must be honest), but the views are spectacular.
if you want to explore a neighboring town, we recommend mt. dora or clermont.
orlando happenings
AKA things to do near the airport
we know we have a lot of out-of-state visitors, so if you have the ability to extend your stay in the sunshine state, we recommend enjoying orlando!
though we live about an hour away, we can often be found using our annual passes at disney world or universal on the weekends. we would highly recommend a stop at either park, though we would recommend visiting after the wedding as opposed to before (early january is significantly cheaper than late december at the parks!).
orlando is a very fun albeit very touristy city. anastasia is a bit of an expert at park travel, so feel free to reach out to her for assistance in planning your stay!
